How can I sign up for Flu Shot notifications?

At the bottom of the page there is a mailing list sign-up or if you send us a message through the contact form, you will be automatically opted in for future communications.

We will send notifications of when Flu Shots become available, changes in Business Hours, or any other information that we believe may be important to you.

In Stock: Typically 10 minutes
Not In Stock: Order placed by Close of Business, typically available by Noon the next day.

How do Prescriptions get to us?

Your PCP or specialist can send us an Escript, call or fax us your prescription.

Refills & Auto Refills

We offer auto refills and reminder messages. This is something you must opt-in for. Once opted-in, we will auto refill your medicine and you will get a text message reminder when medicine is ready.

Do I need to sign up for Curbside Pick-Up?

While you do not have to sign up in advance, we recommend that customers have signed up for Rx Ready Notifications and AutoPay (Allow Faster Processing of Co-Payment and Payment) so we do not have to leave you waiting outside if we have to take your credit card to process payment inside.

Walk-Up - Curbside Pick-Up

Drive-Up - Curbside Pick-Up

You must schedule your Curb-Side Pick-Up at least 7 minutes in advance. Upon Arrival, please find a safe place for your car, put on your hazards, and SMS (text) 202-846-2438 with your Name, Color, Make, Model of your car.

What is Compounding?

Compounding is the creation of a pharmaceutical preparation—a drug—by a licensed pharmacist to meet the unique needs of an individual patient (either human or animal) when a commercially available drug does not meet those needs. A patient may not be able to tolerate the commercially available drug, the exact preparation needed may not be commercially available, or a patient may require a drug that is currently in shortage or discontinued.

Why is Compounding necessary?

Drug Manufacturers cannot make every possible combination of drugs, it is cost ineffective to produce all these combinations when licensed Pharmacists have the ability to mix drugs together.

What is a Compounding Pharmacy?

While most pharmacies offer some level of compounding, most compounding is done in pharmacies that have made the investment in equipment and training to do so safely and efficiently. The preparations offered by these compounding pharmacies can be non-sterile (ointments, creams, liquids, or capsules that are used in areas of the body where absolute sterility is not necessary) or sterile (usually intended for the eye, or injection into body tissues or the blood).

All licensed pharmacists learn during their training and education to perform basic compounding. In addition, most pharmacies have some compounding tools, such as a mortar and pestle for grinding materials, graduated cylinders for measuring liquids, balances for weighing solids, spatulas for mixing materials, and ointment slabs on which to work. With such tools and through applying their knowledge, all pharmacists routinely prepare non-sterile compounded preparations when requested by prescribers.

Of the approximately 56,000 community-based pharmacies in the United States, about 7,500 pharmacies specialize in compounding services. This means the pharmacists in those facilities spend most or all of their time compounding special preparations for patients. Preparations made in these pharmacies are more likely to include both sterile and non-sterile dosage forms. Compounding also takes place in hospital pharmacies and at other health care facilities.

We would love to be able to list every insurance we accept, but that is 7 pages long. We accept most major commercial insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid (DC,MD,VA) & TriCare.
