Dupont Circle Pharmacy is rated 5.0 out of 5 stars, based on 14 reviews!
I love this place. While I'm grateful that I rarely have prescriptions to fill, I actually look forward to going in here because the gentleman who is usually staffing the pharmacy is utterly charming, knowledgeable, gracious and helpful.
This is the BEST experience I've ever had with a pharmacy. They jumped through hoops getting me my medication handling my new insurance plans obstacles. They were quick and friendly, an experience one could only hope for when dealing with a pharmacy! I'm so happy that I had to leave this review which isn't something I do often. Two thumbs up!
I've been looking for specific manufacture for my meds, Tried different CVS, couldn't find it, called Dupont Circle Pharmacy, they found it for me, they are very polite and helpful.
Apreciate your Help!
We called numerous pharmacies to fill a prescription -- none of them could (including several CVS stores). One claimed there wasn't enough time to fill it before closing (I guess 45 minutes isn't enough time at a Walgreens in a hospital?!).
Then we found Dupont Circle Pharmacy -- the dream maker. The owner was super friendly, and we were in and out within ten minutes! Can't recommend this place enough. I don't even live near Dupont and I still want to make this my go-to pharmacy.
Absolutely the best pharmacy in the area. I went to three chain stores before I came here, the chains did not have what I needed but Dupont Pharmacy was well stocked, had me in and out in 10 minutes! Skip the chain stores were you get bad service, they don't keep anything in stock, and the employees are rude. Support local small business and leave happier!
I came down with a horrible cold- sinus infection... "the crud". Problem is I am going on vacation next week, and I can hang on to this stuff for weeks. So, I went to my PC physician and got three prescriptions. I went to the CVS on Dupont Circle. They were extremely helpful, but did not have one of the prescriptions I needed. The pharmacist called around to see if she could find another pharmacist who had the needed medicine in stock. She found one about a block away, Dupont Circle Pharmacy. The shop was already closed, but the pharmacist was kind enough to remain there until I could get down to his shop. I got there and found a spotlessly clean, well organized pharmacy with an amazingly kind pharmacist. He poured medicine in the bottle, and was done. This, by the way is a "compounding" pharmacy meaning it is top of the line. The owner and I spoke about 20 minutes. He just opened up a year ago. I cannot get over how something like this would happen. Stores just don't wait past hours. But he did. I feel better already. Mr. Sabah the owner, was just amazing. I told him I have the biggest mouth in D.C. and would make sure everybody would hear about this wonderful place. I must include the CVS on Dupont for being kind enough to do some searching for me. Kudos to both of them... but especially Dupont Circle Pharmacy.
Cyprian was my favorite pharmacist at the 24 hr pharmacy when I lived in the neighborhood. I recently learned that he started his own place and I couldn't be happier for him.
He now ships me my prescriptions to Southern California!!!
I hope that you will take a trip into his new pharmacy and have a new beautiful experience with a pharmacist that is in love with serving his community and reminds you of the simpler times when you hear more "yes" and a lot less "no!"
Great service ! Best pharmacy I've used before ... very interested in helping by contacting my doctor and will send scripts securely to other states if I'm traveling.
I went to this pharmacy after the CVS at Dupont Circle informed me that they didn't have Tamiflu and couldn't point me to another CVS location that did. But I am so glad to have found this pharmacy -- the pharmacist was friendly and personable, and filled my prescription in under ten minutes. And they take insurance! Would definitely recommend.
I never write Yelp reviews, but this place is both so great and so new, it calls for a special exception.
Like another reviewer, we ended up at Dupont Circle Pharmacy needing Tamiflu after our 6 year-old came up positive for Flu A at the MinuteClinic at the CVS on the circle. For us, though, it was a very nice pharmacist at CVS (which was out of a Tamiflu) itself who actually pointed us to Dupont Circle Pharmacy.
Dupont Circle Pharmacy was actually closed at the time we got the test result back (6 pm on a Sunday), and as our daughter had been sick for almost two days, and because treatment with Tamiflu has to begin within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms, we really needed the prescription immediately. The CVS pharmacist called the pharmacist at Dupont Circle Pharmacy on the latter's cell phone, and told us to head there in 45 minutes (to give the pharmacist time to come in from home!) and they would meet us. Sure enough, Mr. Cyprian, the pharmacist at Dupont Circle Pharmacy, was there when we arrived, and took care of us right away. In every way he acted, he made it clear that he sees his work as a true calling, and went out of his way to wrangle the insurance payment system, and tell us everything we needed to know about the medication.
As other reviewers have noted, this place really gives the kind of service that is rare to find these days. We plan to be back, and recommend it highly.
Fantastic service! We weren't able to get there by closing time, but needed Tamiflu for a sick child. The pharmacist volunteered to deliver the prescription on his way home! We really appreciate him going above and beyond. This was our first experience at the pharmacy, but we will be back for sure.
Finally a true definition of a pharmacy came to our neighborhood. This pharmacy is extremely clean, fully stocked with vitamins and supplements you might not find at your typical CVS pharmacy or RiteAide, and to top it off, the prices are very affordable. I found a bottle of Omega 3 1000mg at this location for 18.99$ while it was priced for 25.99$ at CVS pharmacy in Dupont Circle, and mind you that was after i provided my CVS reward card otherwise it would have been around 28$ or 29$, what a ripoff. Both pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable, and ready to help and assist you. I was greeted with a warm " Welcome" and left with a " Thank you for coming in, please come back again" .
I highly recommend this place, you will be very happy and pleased. No long waiting lines, you will be in and out in a heart beat.
Thank you to the pharmacist who was extremely patient and helped my pregnant wife with advises and everything.
I initially thought this was a California-style "dispensary," but it turns out it's a legit new pharmacy with old school service. Up a flight of stairs, but the friendly pharmacist assured me that they can accommodate all customers, even if it means coming down to someone in their car or on the sidewalk. Great addition to the neighborhood!
This place JUST opened... and it was a great find. The pharmacist was personable and the service was excellent. It had a medication that was on back order at CVS, Rite Aid and Safeway! He said that he has relationships with multiple vendors to make sure he doesn't run out of anything, which was nice to hear. It's a small place near a corner Starbucks... and it's not flashy or anything... but it works for me.
